Dancehall Artist Captain Barkey Shot to Death

Its a sad day for Reggae and Dance hall music fans and artists as one of their own was gunned down in he Bronx Saturday night. Barkey real name Wayne Hamilton, 50 years old and his girl friend Tracy Bennett,38 years old was having a night of fun at the Holiday Motel not knowing that Tracy Bennett ex boyfriend was outside waiting on them. It was around 3:10am when the couple was leaving the hotel and as they were about to get a white Toyota Camry a man ran up to them and started blasting bullets, according to witnesses and police about two dozen bullets were fired. Witnesses say that Tracy Bennett could be heard screaming at the gunman "Don't Do It, Don't Do It" but the gunman didn't listen. According to police Tracy had a protection order against the gunman but he was just an ex that kept stalking her. Apparently Wayne Hamilton tried to escape the gun fire by trying to exit the car through the passenger seat but the stream of bullets was too much for his to escape. Once the gunman shot and killed Wayne Hamilton he then turned to Tracy as she stood their crying begging for her life the gunman showed no sympathy, he shot her twice. According to reports by police both Tracy and Wayne were pronounced dead at the scene. This definitely a sad day for everyone who knew these two. My prayers and thoughts go to the family and friends of these two victims.
