Dancehall artist Busy Signal has landed back in Jamaica after serving six months behind bars in United States of America on a charge of absconding bail. Busy Signal landed in his home land on Friday and was greeted by his manager Shane Brown and Artist Elephant Man along with his friends and family. Busy went on twitter and tweeted "Guess Who is back? God Is GOOD!" and Turf and brothers reunited. Only God."
Busy Signal real name Glendale Goshia Gordon was arrested in the United Kingdom and was extradited to United States from Jamaica back in June 2012. The artist was charged on a failure to appear in court, the charge stemmed from a 2002 drug case in which Busy Signal fled the country while awaiting trial. The artist pleaded guilty and received a lesser sentence possibly because of his previous clean record and various charitable initiatives throughout Jamaica and considering the length of time ago this crime was committed. When Busy was sentenced he was given 45 days to leave the country or face the drug charges that remained active since 2002. Busy left the USA once he was released as he is very excited to see his baby boy Egypt Knight-Gordon for the first time. Busy's baby mother Tunya Palmer gave birth to their baby boy in July while Busy was incarcerated in the USA.
I hope this is a lesson to other artists, when you do a crime own up to it instead of trying to hide from it. Glad that the artist is free and has landed safely in his homeland. God Bless Busy Signal.
